Mr. and Mrs. John Kirk Andrews of Goodwater and Mr. Stephen Lee Morgan of Alexander City announce the engagement of their daughter, Raylan Deanna, to Andrew Jackson Gilliland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Jackson (Buddy) Gilliland Jr. of Sylacauga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ms. Glenda Vickers Howell of Goodwater, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Milton Howell of Goodwater, Mr. and Mrs. John Mark Andrews of Sylacauga, Mrs. Joan Nivens Morgan of Alexander City and the late Mr. Morris Wright Morgan. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Beamon Vickers of Kellyton.

She is a graduate of Benjamin Russell High School, Auburn University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in biological science from Auburn University.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. Charles William (Billy) Wingfield of Goodwater and the late Mrs. Martha Jane (Mart) Wingfield and the late Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Jackson Gilliland Sr. of Sylacauga.

He is a graduate of Sylacauga High School, Troy University, Auburn University and is pursuing a doctor of veterinary medicine from Auburn University.

The wedding will be an event of March 15, 2014 at the Stables at Russell Crossroads on Lake Martin in Alexander City.
