The Talladega/Sylacauga Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. hosts an Affordable Care Act Forum Saturday at 4 p.m. at Mount Canaan Baptist Church on West Battle Street.

Chair of the Political Action Committee of the Talladega/Sylacauga Alumni Chapter Unzell Kelley organized the forum, which features a representative from Health and Human Services who will present the information to the audience.

“Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. embodies the principle of service to others,” Kelley said. “I felt the need to try and provide a forum where the community could become better informed on the Affordable Care Act. This would be an opportunity for citizens to receive information and ask questions about the law, its implementation, benefits and potential impacts on those who do not comply.”

The forum will include discussion regarding the Health Insurance Marketplace, a tool designed for all to explore coverage options available whether the individual is uninsured or browsing to find a better option.

Kelley stated the two-hour event is free and open for all community members.

“This forum is not political or partisan, but simply for information purposes,” Kelley said. “Also, it is not for political debate. We ask each of you to please show your support and make every effort to attend.”
