A one vehicle accident snarled traffic for hours Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Alabama 77 and the 275 Bypass. According to Talladega police Capt. Leon Thomas, the truck carrying a large steel coil was traveling south on 77 at about 12:25 p.m. when the driver apparently took a turn too fast, possibly while talking on a cell phone. The coil on the back of the truck turned it over, came loose and rolled into the median. No one was injured. Talladega police and fire and the Alabama Department of Transportation responded to the accident.
