Stephanie Engle has qualified as a Democratic candidate for the Alabama House of Representatives in House District 35. The district, which is currently represented by Republican Steve Hurst, includes portions of Calhoun, Coosa, Clay and Talladega counties.

Engle’s early career focused on restoration interiors of historic properties and luxury residential spaces. She transitioned into commercial construction project management, completing tenant build-out projects.

She has served on the American Cancer Society Executive Steering Committee, the Middle East Peace Foundation Executive Board, and currently chairs the Talladega County Democratic Party. She has three grown children and twin daughters who are enrolled in Munford High School’s Honors Pathway. Engle has generational roots in Talladega County. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Cork. Engle and her family attend First United Methodist Church in Talladega.

She is a graduate of Cornell University.
