A new bench at the Armstrong-Osborne Public Library in Talladega has been dedicated to the memory of former Library Board Chairwoman Dianne Orsini, who passed away earlier this month. Pictured above are Talladega City Councilman Ricky Simpson, Orsini’s sister Candy Edmiston, Councilman Horace Patterson and Mayor Larry Barton. During the ceremony, Edmiston said that when they were children, Orsini was the only person that librarian Willie Welch would allow to check out more than two books at a time.
