Fayetteville JV softball finishes second in FHS JV Invitational

The Fayetteville Lady Wolves JV softball team finished second at the FHS JV Invitational Saturday.

The team lost their first game to Vincent, 6-1. Graysn Hughes was charged with the loss in the pitcher's circle.

The Lady Wolves bounced back and defeated B.B. Comer in their second game, 14-3. Amiya Price earned the win in the pitcher's circle, striking out two batters while walking three and allowing six hits. Jasmine Epperson went 2-for-2 at the plate with a sacrifice.

The team also won their finale against Sylacauga, 10-2. Graysn Hughes earned the win in the pitcher's circle. She faced 18 batters and finished with one strikeout, one walk, and allowed three hits.

The Lady Wolves managed to finish the tournament with 21 stolen bases.

Madison Harris went 2-for-2 at the plate.

Hughes and Price were also successful at the plate. Hughes went 4-for-7 and Price went 4-for-6 with a sacrifice.

Tori Patterson went 2-for-5 with a sac bunt. Savannah Scott was 4-for-8. Shelby Wales finished 2-for-3. Madison Green and Julie Shell each went 1-for-2. Shelby Skinner went 1-for-3. Brooklyn Snyder had a sacrifice.

Vincent finished as the tournament winner.

With the combined wins and loss, the JV Lady Wolves moved to 3-1 on the season.
