Fayetteville shuts out B.B. Comer, 12-0

In the South section of the tournament, Central Coosa defeated Winterboro 8-2. They play today against Sylacauga at 4 p.m. Winterboro will play B.B. Comer in an elimination game at 6 p.m.

Brady Wideman took the loss for the Bulldogs. Juttorius Cook and Andrew Pitts pitched in relief. Jonathon Harris, Cook, Wideman and Pitts all had hits.

Fayetteville defeated Comer, 12-0.

Steve Brasher pitched a three-hit shutout, striking out five batters and not allowing any walks in five innings of work.

At the plate, Jake Skinner went 2-for-2 with a walk. He hit a double, a triple and had three RBIs and three runs scored.

Byron Osbourn went 1-for-3 at the plate with an RBI and two runs scored. Slade Scroggins finished the game with two runs scored and two RBIs.

With the win, Fayetteville improved to 5-0 on the season. They will face the winner of the game between Sylacauga and Central Coosa on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
