Alpine woman killed in car crash

ALPINE — A two-vehicle accident in Alpine Sunday evening left a local woman dead, according to Alabama State Troopers.

Rosalyn Draughon Killough, 69, of Alpine was declared dead at the crash site. According to the state troopers’ report, she appeared to have been pulling out of a private driveway on Talladega County 207 in her 1994 Honda Accord at about 5:45 p.m.

She was struck by a 2000 Ford F-250 that was also traveling on Talladega County 207. The driver of the other vehicle, Theresa Reynolds, 48, of Tuskegee, was not injured.

The accident occurred about 7 miles south of the city of Talladega, according to the report.

The accident remains under investigation by Troopers Thomas Nalls and Barry McBurnett.
