That’s why the project being touted by Mayor Rusty Jessup and the council to buy a defunct marina across the street from city hall is an important step. It will give area residents deep water access to the lake and bring lake-related business to Riverside.
With its location in the heart of Riverside and its proximity to Interstate 20, it is an ideal spot for such a development.
Officials are right to pursue it, and their quest ought to be supported.
