Sylacauga holds organizational meeting on 2010 Census

Sylacauga’s Complete Count Committee for the 2010 Census held its organizational meeting in the City Council chambers on Thursday afternoon.

Carletta Singleton, of the U.S. Census Bureau made a presentation, about the upcoming census and how the CCC will assist.

“We’ve got seven months to gear up, to mobilize, to make people aware and also to make sure even the people that are challenging in the community know about that 2010 Census and know about that questionnaire and know what to do with it when it arrives in their mailbox,” Singleton said.
