In an effort to show appreciation to seniors and give them a day dedicated to them, the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department is holding a Senior Appreciation Day at the Lincoln City Center, which is the old Lincoln High School gym.

The “Race Into Fun” day will be full of activities, entertainment and refreshments for seniors, helping get them out and involved in a day of fellowship.

May’s version of Senior Appreciation Day was such a success that organizers decided to follow it up with another special day this fall.

We encourage Lincoln seniors to turn out for this event. They won’t be sorry they did.
