Dubbed Chamber Ambassadors, the group will assist at various events, acting as young ambassadors for their city and the chamber.
This is a resurrection of a program that had been suspended for several years, and its revival is owed to Margaret Tuck, who works at the Chamber.
As a result of her suggestion, 21 students in grades 8-12 have been selected to participate in this program. And they will be introduced today at a “meet and greet” at the Chamber office.
Theirs is an important role, helping the Chamber in its activities, but also honing those social skills so critical to a successful path to young adulthood.
We congratulate the Chamber on its inclusion of these future leaders in its programs, and we commend the newly appointed ambassadors on the work they will do on behalf of the Chamber and their city.
