The more options students have, the more likely they are to graduate and go on to lead productive lives.

Thanks to the hard work by Talladega High School Principal Darren Anglin and Central Alabama Community College director of workforce development Jason Hurst and others, students at the high school will have many more options when it comes to furthering their education.

The two schools have teamed up to offer students dual enrollment so those teens who qualify — based on their grade level and academic performance — can take college classes while still enrolled in high school.

The dual enrollment will cover a number of different education tracks and meet a variety of student needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students here, and we applaud everyone involved who had the vision and the drive to make the program happen.
