According to Capt. Mike Hubbard, the missing man, Robert Little, is a 51-year-old black male, who is about 6 feet tall. He has a medical condition, but has apparently been without his medication for some time.
Little borrowed his mother’s car in Lanett Tuesday and went out to buy cigarettes, according to Hubbard. He has not been seen since, although the car, a Pontiac Vibe, was recovered Wednesday on Silver Run Road just south of the Calhoun County line by Talladega County Sheriff’s deputies. The car appears to have been under water at one time, but does not appear to have been driven into the water. Hubbard speculated it was left by the side of the road and flooded during torrential rains last Tuesday night.
The car was probably abandoned between 4 and 11 p.m. Tuesday.
Anyone with information on Little’s whereabouts should contact the Talladega County Sheriff’s Department at 256-362-6117 or the north end investigation office at 256-761-2141.
