Sylacauga’s Corey Gamble had a three-point play with 1:44 left in the fourth quarter to tie the game up at 66-66. Kyle Pope gave the Aggies the lead with a layup to make it 68-66 with 1:38 to go in the game. Jaquan Threatt’s bank shot put the game away for Sylacauga.
Kelsey Pope led the way for the Aggies with 23 points. Gamble scored 20 points while Threatt chipped in with 10 points.
Jamison Cook led the way for Childersburg with 18 points. LaDavious Battle scored 17 points, while Tarry McElrath chipped in with 10 points.
Sylacauga will host Anniston on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Childersburg will host Central-Coosa on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
