Bell ringers are dedicated

We see them in cities and towns across the area, but we hear them long before we get to our destination point.

They are the bell ringers that usher in the Christmas season as volunteers for the Salvation Army, sounding a note for giving throughout the region.

Through their volunteerism at stations traditionally in front of retail stores, thousands of people are helped each year through the services offered by the Salvation Army to those who need it most.

They brave all sorts of weather to ring the bell and accept a series of donations – large and small – deposited in the signature red kettle on behalf of those who are aided by the Salvation Army.

They represent the good we find each holiday season, and we thank them for caring enough to get involved and ringing the bell for giving.
