It is being called “A December to Remember — Season’s Beatings” and it all takes place Saturday, Dec. 26 at the Pell City Civic Center. Belltime is 7:30 p.m. and all tickets are just $10 each.
Seven big matches are scheduled plus former WWE and TNA superstar Roaddog Jesse James will be in action.
Matches already booked include Orion Bishop vs. Cameron Valentine. The GCW Tag Team Championship is on the line as champions Steve and Bulet Armstrong defends their titles against Money Makers. In a rare ladies match, Veronica Fairchild will battle Japanese superstar Su Yung. The Alabama Jr. Championship is up for grabs as Action Mike Jackson takes on Mean Mike Posey. The Midnight Express’ Dennis Condrey makes a return trip to Pell City and takes on Corey Hollis. In the main event, it will be a Southern Street Fight as Sgt. Hammer and his manager Howard C. Cross take on the team of InHuman Fly and Dan “Maddog” Sawyer.
This will be the first action in the ring by Sawyer in over a year following major back surgery.
“We’re excited about having Roaddog here with us and the legendary Bullet Bob Armstrong,” Sawyer said. “Dennis Condrey is back and wrestling a young man he trained in camp here in Pell City back on Oct. 10. I’m very excited about my return to the ring after back surgery. It’s my first time back and I have a big match. It’s going to get wild, I’ll tell you. All of you fans in Pell City can open your Christmas presents the day before then come on out and have a great time with us.”
Back in October, GCW presented a Legends Fanfest at Pell City that attracted a lot of wrestling fans. Sawyer hopes this year-end event is just as big.
Sawyer wanted wrestling fans in Pell City to know that on Jan. 23, Jerry “The King” Lawler is scheduled to be at the Pell City Civic Center.
