It is all part of Lincoln’s Streetscape Project, which will turn a city block in old downtown into a modern, appealing business district.
Sidewalk renovations, pedestrian street lights, shade tree islands, paving and landscaping are all a part of this project, which should be completed by late January.
It is an effort to revitalize old downtown and attract visitors to the area once again.
We commend Lincoln’s leadership for seeing the need and working over the past three years to bring it about. When the project is complete, it certainly will be an enhancement to the quality of life and appearance for Lincoln.
