In a technology driven society, it is easy to recognize the need to keep pace with the latest communication tools.

That’s why the Sylacauga City School System has just launched a new, comprehensive Web site that will be a strong communication link for all of its schools.

The site features monthly school menus, school organization calendars and direct e-mailing to board members. Each school has individual pages to feature their own communications – student handbooks and publications, the principal’s message and links to sports teams for Nichols-Lawson Middle School and Sylacauga High School.

Teachers have their own pages, too, a place where they can provide information to students and parents.

It is a way to keep the school systems connected to its students, faculty and to the community. And we commend this major step forward for the system.
