Teams manned their cooking stations at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Garage Saturday, serving up a non-traditional fare of wild game in the annual Alabama Army National Guard/Alabama Wildlife Federation Wild Game Cook Off.

All kinds of fish, fowl and game in a variety of dishes were the main event as a crowd made its way through the festivities.

Besides delighting palates aplenty, the cook off helped raise funds for the Alabama Wildlife Federation.

It was a good turnout for a growing attraction, and we commend all who took part in bringing this event to the area.
