Oak Grove is one of the latest cities to work on establishing a community garden.

The gardens are a way for communities to help provide food for the needy and as a bonus teach valuable lessons in gardening and agriculture to a wide range of residents.

The Oak Grove Council has already approved its community garden and went a step further this week, giving a thumbs-up to a grant agreement for the project.

It’s efforts like these that can help improve an entire community. The council is to be congratulated for looking after the best interests of its constituents.
