Census Day is over but the count goes on

April 1 was not a deadline for returning census forms. It was designated National Census Day to highlight it as a marker, a reference point for census information.

Take the first question on the form as an example: “How many people were living or staying in this house, apartment, or mobile home on April 1, 2010?”

The Census Bureau recognizes that people move around, babies are born and, sadly, people die. When answering the 10 questions on the census form, you need a specific day on which your answers are true, even though they may not be the same as you would have given six months ago or would give a month from now.

You are not a criminal if you haven’t mailed your form in yet; the census will be going on through July. If you have the form, go ahead and mail it. If you don’t, you can expect a visit from a census taker before the end of July.

One way or another, you will be counted. It is the law.

Well in order to fill out a census form all you need is just to be born on this planet? It seems to me and others that our hopes of being independent from the rest of the world is over,Could it be the new world order of things? When will the government get back to enforcing the law that you have to have a green card or a sponser to live here? Now we see a president who cant prove or is unwilling to cooperate in the fact that he is really a citizen,So what did you expect? If CHANGE is what you wanted....then welcome to the new world.Oh and be sure to write on the form a name that i heard some real americans were going to use,JOSE CANUSEE. now dont that tickle you?

Isn't it also the law to be a legal citizen of the US in order to complete the census? So why is the question "ARE YOU A US CITIZEN?" omitted from this years census?

The government has my tax income tax return and every one in my family has a valid social security number. THEY CAN GET THEIR COUNT IF THEY WOULD USE THEIR RESOURCES!!! Why did they waste so much money on this STUPID census!?
