Got France milk? Rachael McDonald, a third grader at B.B. Comer Elementary School wants to know — or at least the subject of her drawing, “French Cow,” wants to know. The drawing is one in an exhibit of artwork by students at Comer, Munford and Lincoln elementary schools at Heritage Hall Museum in Talladega.

The works cover a wide range of media and styles, from the farmyard animal drawings of the kids at Comer to geometric wonders called tessellations by those in Munford to Japanese dolls created by students in Lincoln.

The museum will hold an awards ceremony this afternoon, but every one of these young artists deserves this tip of the hat.
