Lincoln Police chief Travis McGrady said a 42-year-old black male died as a result of injuries from a domestic altercation that occurred along Second Avenue in Lincoln.
Talladega Deputy Coroner Shaddix Murphy said the victim was pronounced dead of multiple stab wounds at 9:20 a.m. at Citizens Baptist Medical Center in Talladega.
“No arrests have been made at this point,” McGrady said. “We are thoroughly investigating the incident.”
McGrady said the victim’s name was not immediately available Saturday, pending notification of family.
Authorities said according to witnesses, the domestic altercation began outside Sunday night, then continued early Saturday morning. The victim was a tenant in the Lincoln residence where the final altercation took place.
Officials said the matter will likely be turned over to the Talladega County District Attorney’s Office.
