The Wolves finished second in the Talladega County Baseball Tournament to start the season and ended it with a run to the semifinals of the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s Class 1A State Playoffs. So it should come as no surprise that the Wolves are also well represented on the 1A-3A All-Talladega County Baseball Team.
Eight players from the Fayetteville team made the all-county list and head coach Morris Phillips was named Coach of the Year. Junior left-handed pitcher Jeremy Melton led the Wolves in hitting all season. He recorded seven homeruns, 41 RBIs and batted .438. On the mound Melton had six wins and five losses in 13 appearances.
