Sarrell Dental and Jacksonville State University have teamed up to provide free football camps for area youth ages 8-13.

The second camp will be held on Friday at Mary Dumas Stadium in Talladega. Parents can register their children by visiting www.sarrelldental.org where they can click on the JSU football camp tab, fill out the registration form, and submit it online or print the form and bring it with them on the date of the camp. Sarrell representatives will also be on location beginning at 7:30 a.m. for those who wish to register on site.

The camp will take place from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and parents are welcome to sit in the stands and watch as their child learns the fundamentals and skills of football instructed by JSU Football Coach Jack Crowe and players from the JSU football team.

Those involved with summer camps or community organization are also welcome to bring campers enrolled in their program whose parents have filled out the form allowing their child to participate in the football camp. Each camper will need to wear a T-shirt, workout shorts, socks and tennis shoes. Each participant will receive a free T-shirt for attending the camp.

Sarrell Dental and JSU will be conducting three more football camps throughout the summer, and they encourage children to attend as many as they would like. The camps will be held in Limestone County (Athens High School stadium) on July 16, Bessemer (Jess Lanier High School stadium) on July 23 and Jacksonville (JSU’s Paul Snow Stadium) on July 30.
