LINCOLN — A Lincoln man died in a one vehicle accident on McCullars Road Saturday, according to a Department of Public Safety release.

The release stated Robert Duane Johnson, 28, was fatally injured after the wreck occurred at approximately 5:41 a.m. He drove a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro.

Responders transported Johnson to Usrey Funeral Home, according to the release. The accident is under investigation.

A spokesman for the Alabama State Troopers said members of the Lincoln Police Department were investigating the arrest, with technical assistance from the State Troopers.

Just so you know. That was my brother & best friend. I do not agree with the comment about him be a horrible father & person. He done his wrong just like everybody has. But I wish you let me know who you are that said that about him! He loved his son & his family! & the accident was not all his fault. & as far as him being a husband, he was divorced! & his xwife is a B!! & the reason he was in that spot at that time was cause his girlfriend was shooting at him. So before you go and talk bad about my brother, I think you need to know your facts before you speak!! His family & his son have been through enough without some sorry A person running their mouth. & one thing about it, I WILL NOT have anyone talking bad about my brother. If you want to do that then I think you need to get in touch with me & tell me instead of saying it behind our backs. This past year has been hard enough. He was not just my brother, he was also my best friend & like a child of mine. I last seen him that morning at about 2 but I talked to him on the phone till about 4. He called me at 5:21 that morning and told me that he was on his way home, my house, cause his girlfriend was shooting at him. Then at 9 I get a knock on my door & it was the state trooper telling me that he was in an accident & didn't make it. So before you go talking bad, why won't you put yourself in mine & his families shoes. But there is one thing about it, You will have to pay for that cause GOD knows about it. So you need to take that up with him!!! & to everyone one else, Thank you for all the nice comments!!! Just please keep us in your prayers!!!

I just want to let you know that I will be praying for the person that made the post about being a horrible father and husband, seeking revenge on someone who will never read this. The only people that you are hurting is his family and probably his child in many ways. They should not have to pay for the mistakes that their DECEASED LOVED ONE made! Again praying for you and the child that more than likely must be in your presence. Robert is answering for his mistakes and I am sorry that his life had to end that way, but at least he is in a better place. What kind of answers/closure do you really expect to get by posting these remarks on the internet? One day your time will also come to answer for the things that you have said and done, and may GOD have mercy on you!

It is sad when people want to belittle people who are past away. The person who wrote that about him being a horrible father and husband needs help. Why would you talk about someone like that when you know the family is going through enough already. Even if he was a horrible father and husband, do you not have anything better to do besides talk down about people. You obviously have nothing else to do and are cold hearted. Quit being selfish think about other peoples feeelings before you open your big mouth about this.

My husband knew this man and said he was a good man, he had just gotten too drunk on his birthday. He did, however, do some horrible things that day. I feel for his family though, they are the innocent ones.

"A spokesman for the Alabama State Troopers said members of the Lincoln Police Department were investigating the arrest..." - what arrest? The article says nothing about anyone being arrested, just killed in a traffic accident?
