Anthony Cook was born and raised in Munford and began his journalism career at The Star after graduating from Auburn University in 1993. He became an assistant metro editor at The Birmingham News in 2003 and returned to The Star as managing editor in October 2006.

Anthony lives with his family in Oxford, and he is the pastor of Christian Fellowship Bible Church in Anniston. He writes about religion and values for The Star.
